Bring your unwanted items to LNA’s annual clean up event held at the parking lot of Laurelhurst Elementary School (840 NE 41st Avenue) on Saturday, 19 April 2014, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. Everyone welcome!
Examples of Accepted Materials for Disposal
Wood and pallets, furniture and appliances, metal, plastic, carpets and pad, mattresses, clothing, tires, small non-gas-powered tools/equipment.
Gently Used, Clean Items
We are partnering with the Community Warehouse to collect gently used and clean items for redistribution to those in need. Acceptable items include furniture, kitchenware, and basic household items (bedding, towels, alarm clocks, brooms, vacuums, irons, telephones, etc.), and mattresses.
One person’s trash is another’s treasure. Drop off useable or easily serviceable items in our reuse area. Peruse the area for items to take.
Computers, monitors, TVs, cell phones, computer peripherals, etc.
Materials collected curbside; hazardous waste; batteries; landscaping materials; construction debris; waste not accepted at transfer stations; household garbage; and residential yard debris, compost, or trimmings. No commercial or industrial materials or wastes.
$7/car, $12/pickup truck or SUV, $20 trailers/oversized loads. $5 monitors/TVs.
We always need volunteers to help direct traffic, unload materials, setting up, and cleaning up.
Thanks to the City of Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability, the Southeast Uplift Neighborhood Coalition, and Metro, all of which help significantly defray LNA’s costs and/or provide necessary support for the event. Also, thanks to Laurelhurst Elementary School for allowing the use of their parking lot and to our volunteers.
