WHEREAS the Laurelhurst Neighborhood Association (LNA) receives many requests from institutions, organizations and social groups for monetary contributions;
WHEREAS the LNA is committed to supporting activities that enhance the environment, safety and overall livability of our neighborhood;
WHEREAS the LNA is committed to the advancement of education and historical, social, cultural and recreational activities within or directly benefiting our neighborhood;
WHEREAS the LNA is committed to promoting communication within our neighborhood;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
All requests for monetary contributions shall be submitted to the LNA Board of Directors;
The LNA Board of Directors and/or general membership will only consider requests for monetary contributions that clearly advance one or more of the above-mentioned commitments;
The LNA Board of Directors may approve contributions up to $250.00;
The general membership can approve contributions in excess of $250.00 but not to exceed the amount recommended by the Board of Directors, and;
The amount of any approved contribution shall be limited by the financial resources and budget needs of the LNA.
