Laurelhurst Neighborhood Association (LNA) Survey Results, January 2004
In Order by Five Issues (complete)

Total number of respondents was 237; number of households to whom we deliver newsletters is 1850; response rate = 12.8%. Note: this is not a good response rate!

The column labeled “5 Issues” shows how many “votes” each item got as one of the five most important issues for the LNA to work on, beyond what we are currently doing. Some items might also have received many negative votes, and so will have lower averages. Also, residents might not have been included some items they rated as “major issues/most important” if they thought we were currently doing a good job.

The column labeled “Ave” shows the numerical average score for each item, with items scored as follows: “Major Issue” or “Most Important” = 3, “Minor Issue” or “Somewhat Important” = 2, “LNA Should Not Pursue” or “Not Important” = 1; “No Opinion” or no response = 0. Note that some items received low average scores not just because resident’s scored them as “1”, but also because many people had no opinion or did not answer that item. We will need to look at the distribution of responses to each item to get a better understanding of responses.

The last 5 columns show the % who circled 3, 2, 1, 0 or who left it blank.
